With over fourteen years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and families, Edward specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. His approach is integrative, drawing from these evidence-based modalities to create personalized treatment plans that foster meaningful change. In addition to his graduate training as a therapist, Edward holds an undergraduate degree in philosophy, which informs his belief that human growth is both psychological and philosophical. By bridging these two domains, he helps clients cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and a deeper understanding of their personal journey.
In a previous role as an in-home family therapist, I had the privilege of working with a family navigating the profound loss of a son and brother.Through a compassionate and dynamic therapeutic process, we created a safe space for grief, reflection, and healing. Over time, not only did the identified client find support and growth, but the entire family system strengthened, fostering deeper connection, resilience, and a renewed sense ofhope.
I take a blended approach to therapy, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to best meet each client’s needs. When appropriate, I also utilize evidence-based assessment tools such as the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 to track progress and ensure that symptoms are improving throughout treatment.
Your first therapy session will be a welcoming and supportive experience, designed to feel safe rather than overwhelming. Together, we will explore your goals and hopes for therapy while reviewing any past experiences with mental health services or diagnoses. This initial session is the first step on your journey toward healing, self-discovery, and renewed well-being.
My motivation for being a therapist comes from a deep understanding that life is a journey filled with diverse experiences—both joyful and challenging. While there are seasons of growth and fulfillment, there are also moments of sorrow and hardship. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, whether for short-term support or long-term personal growth. My goal is to ensure that whatever time we spend together is meaningful, enriching, and restorative.
