About Me

Erin Cliffe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Clinical Supervisor, Certified Advanced Addiction & Drug Counselor (CAADC, CCTP-II), ADHD Coach, Trauma Therapist, and Reiki II Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience helping individuals navigate life’s most complex challenges. She specializes in working with clients who feel stuck—whether due to trauma, anxiety, ADHD, dissociation, or the weight of unprocessed emotions—and guides them toward clarity, empowerment, and lasting change. Her background includes extensive experience with complex trauma, dissociative disorders, neurodivergence, mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and general life difficulties. Erin is also passionate about working with individuals who are spiritually inclined, highly intuitive, or seeking deeper meaning in their healing process.

FAQs

One of the most significant breakthroughs I’ve helped clients achieve is recognizing the patterns and cycles that have kept them stuck. So many people come into therapy thinking that healing is out of reach or that they’re fundamentally flawed, but I help them see that’s not the case. A lot of the work I do is about shifting out of survival mode, breaking free from people-pleasing, and finally feeling empowered in their own life. Seeing clients realize they’re not powerless—that they can change how they respond to their triggers, regulate their nervous system, and advocate for their needs—has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

Clients can expect a therapy process that feels supportive, insightful, and tailored to their needs. My approach is a mix of exploring deeper patterns, releasing old thought patterns, and building confidence in your ability to navigate life. While therapy can be tough at times, I aim to make it something you actually look forward to—because even in the hard work, there can be moments of clarity, relief, and even humor. The goal isn’t just to cope but to create real, lasting change that helps you feel more in control of your life, shifting unhelpful behaviors and moving toward a more empowered version of yourself.

The first session is typically a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. It's all about getting to know each other, understanding your concerns, and setting the foundation for our work together. We’ll take things slow and I’ll ask some questions to get a sense of where you’re at, what you’re hoping to achieve, and any challenges you’re currently facing. It’s a space where you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with—there’s no rush. My goal is to make you feel safe, heard, and respected, and to lay the groundwork for building a therapeutic relationship that works for you.

What motivates me as a therapist is seeing people break through their barriers and realize their potential. I’m driven by the belief that healing is possible for everyone, no matter the struggles they face. Being part of that process—helping someone move from feeling stuck to feeling empowered—keeps me passionate about this work.

Highlights

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I consider myself not your average therapist—I take a clinical, professional approach that is also direct, real, and transformative. Healing from trauma isn’t just about talking through the past; it’s about understanding how it still affects you today and learning how to break the cycles that keep you stuck. My approach is focused on nervous system regulation, identifying patterns, and giving you real, research-backed tools to navigate triggers and emotional responses. Therapy with me is not about surface-level fixes—I believe in doing the deep work necessary for lasting change. You can expect a space where you will be both supported and challenged, where honesty is valued, and where you will gain clarity about yourself, your emotions, and your relationships. Healing is messy, uncomfortable, and exhausting at times, but it is also freeing, empowering, and completely life-changing.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize evidence-based therapies, including Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems & Neural Plasticity.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I’m deeply compassionate and understanding, always meeting my clients where they are without judgment. I recognize how challenging therapy can be, so I bring flexibility and humor into our work, making tough moments feel more manageable. I’m also committed to educating my clients, helping them understand themselves and their healing process, which empowers them to make lasting changes. My approach is both empathetic and practical, ensuring you feel supported, heard, and equipped with the tools you need to grow.
