I have a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Dance/Movement Therapy, as well as a master's in Marketing from India. With a year and a half of clinical experience, including internships and practicum, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of populations. My approach integrates CBT, DBT, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness interventions to support body-mind integration. As a lifelong learner, I am continually expanding my knowledge and skills to better serve my clients.
I have helped clients reframe their perceptions about themselves fromautomatic thoughts of self-blame to thoughts of empowerment instillinghope and faith in themselves.
The client can expect exploring their potential and coping skills duringchallenging times. They can expect to talk through their pasttraumas that are a hindrance to their future and becomeaware of their strengths through talk therapy. They can also expect anintegrated approach to therapy leading to unblocking their potential.Sessions will entail exploring their creativity, and imagination throughbody and mind approaches.
My first session entails knowing more about the client and establishingrapport. I am interested in knowing more about the core struggles in theclient's life. I also like exploring the client's key strengths, supportsystems, hobbies, and regimen of self-care.
My own past traumas and grief/loss have been challenging to cope withhowever, I have always trusted in myself, a higher power, and beenresilient toward challenges in life. There have been moments when I havefelt the desperate need for therapy or gathering the other perspective. Ididn't have knowledge of ways to seek help of therapy in the past and Ifelt helpless at that time. I have always felt that I could share mypositivity, my will to conquer challenges and my feelings of hope withothers who could benefit from me.
